TEACHING EXPERIENCE

2005-present

Adjunct Professor at Hilbert College teaching “The Enjoyment of Music”, “19th Century Classical Music, “20th Century Classical Music” and “Afro-Centric Music”.

1999-present

Adjunct Professor of Music at Canisius College teaching Music Theory, 20th Century Music, Afro-Centric and World Music. Responsible for the development of a new curriculum for Afro-Centric Music.

1996-02

Teaching Artist at Grover Cleveland High School responsible for curriculum development and infusion in the Music, Social Studies and English programs.

1980-present

Private studio lessons in flute performance, music theory and improvisation techniques.

Music Director and President of Los Caribes performing Latin-American musics in school assemblies for Young Audiences of Western New York and Young Audiences Rochester, and in many other formal concert venues. Responsibilities include performing, composing/arranging, program design and grant applications for NYSCA-Music, NYSCA-Arts in Education, NYSCA-Special Arts Services, the County of Erie and the City of Buffalo.

Continual flute performances and workshops in Classical, Contemporary, Jazz, and Latin genres.
